Springfield Located: It’s in Orlando

Jun 13, 2013

Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson. For more than 20 years, the Simpson family has been a part of American culture. Now, this summer, for the first time ever, guests at Universal Orlando Resort can step into the world of Springfield and experience life in the Simpsons’ hometown.

The new area will feature The Simpsons Ride, a virtual coaster, as well as a brand-new outdoor attraction called Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl, taking riders on an intergalactic spin. But it’s not only the rides that will thrill Simpsons fans — guests will also have a chance to take a photo in front of the statue of Jebadiah Springfield, enjoy a delicious Krusty Burger and even stop into Moe’s Tavern for a Duff Beer brewed exclusively for Universal Orlando.

Denise Sirkot, president of worldwide brands at Gracie Films, producers of “The Simpsons,” described Springfield at Universal Orlando as, “the Krustyest place on earth.” A visit is sure to be on every Simpsons fan’s list of must-d’ohs. www.universaltravelagents.com
