Disney Cruise Line’s 2,700-passenger Disney Magic was re-launched on Oct. 25 after a six-week overhaul with new and transformed spaces.
The ship now offers features ranging from an expanded spa with services for men and teens to a three-story water thrill slide where guests drop through a trap door down a translucent slide that extends over the ocean. The six-week overhaul transformed most public spaces, including the lobby atrium, which lost its second staircase and Dale Chihuly chandelier, but now has a new art deco chandelier is in its place.
The ship also introduces the Marvel’s Avengers Academy, with new recruits training in the Oceaneer Club to assist the superhero icons from the Marvel Universe.
