Clients from the Bay Area now have another option for traveling to Hawaii thanks to Virgin America, which is launching daily nonstop service from the U.S. West Coast to Hawaii. This is the carrier’s first foray into the Aloha State.
From San Francisco, Virgin will fly to Honolulu beginning Nov. 2 and to Maui starting Dec. 3. New 149-seat Airbus A320 aircraft with leather seats and touch-screen televisions in the main cabin and sleeper seats with lumbar massagers in first class will be used for the flights.
According to local sources, the airline hopes to add flights from Los Angeles to Hawaii as early as 2016, with expansion to other islands as well.
