Both Web sites feature content from TravelAge West’s newly launched Family Getaways magazine, which focuses on the growing family-travel market and provides travel-agent readers with inspiration, onsite reviews, packages, sales tools, products and more.
The new FamilyGetawaysAgent.com site features in-depth destination information, property inspections and comprehensive cruise coverage that is of particular interest to clients planning multigenerational family travel. In addition, the site offers visitors information on deals and discounts, travel tips, a multimedia section that enables visitors to upload their own photos and videos, top 10 lists compiled by editors, reader stories and more.
The consumer Web site, FamilyGetawaysMagazine.com, features similar content, but geared toward consumers instead of agents. It was created in partnership with ProfessionalTravelGuide.com (PTG), an online, travel resource that has become a dominant player in the online travel-research industry. Both organizations, TravelAge West and PTG, are owned by Northstar Travel Media, LLC. Family Getaways editors and designers worked closely in partnership with PTG in order to create the consumer Web site.
