TravelAge West was recently honored by the Trade, Associations and Business Publications International (TABPI) organization in the Feature Article category as part of its 7th annual Tabbie awards.
Online Editor Monica Poling’s story, “The Conversation Era” (Feb. 28, 2009), was named one of the Top 25 Feature Articles of the year. The article provided a detailed look into how travel agents can use social media to increase publicity and revenue. The award is the eighth Tabbie Award in six years for TravelAge West.
The 2010 Tabbie Awards received nearly 500 entries, with nominations from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., India, New Zealand and South Africa. The competition was open to English-language b-to-b publications worldwide as long as they are published at least quarterly.
