The Hotel Wilshire has become Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants sixth boutique hotel in Southern California, second in the Los Angeles area. Kimpton partnered with OSM Investment Company to purchase the 74-room LEED-certified hotel located in Los Angeles' Miracle Mile, only a few minutes from Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Hollywood and Century City.
To usher in the Kimpton brand, the Hotel Wilshire will offer all of Kimpton's unique programs and services, including animal print robes, wellness options, Kimpton's InTouch loyalty program perks, hosted evening wine receptions, pet-friendly practices, Kimpton's EarthCare program and more.
"We had an incredible year in 2012 with seven new hotels added to our collection and we couldn't be more pleased to close out the year with our expansion in the highly desirable Los Angeles market," said Mike Depatie, chief executive officer of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. "Hotel Wilshire is a perfect fit for the Kimpton portfolio and we're pleased to partner with OSM on co-ownership of this hotel."
Previously a medical office building, the Hotel Wilshire took shape in 2011 featuring 55 guestrooms; 19 suites, including a rooftop penthouse suite; and 1,750 square feet of event space, including a boardroom that features two floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The hotel also boasts a rooftop restaurant, The Roof on Wilshire, located on the pool deck, which offers views of the city.
