The second-annual Denver Beer Fest will take place Sept. 10-19 and take full advantage of the Mile High City’s late-summer weather, with brew-centric events happening throughout the city. Events include 5K and 10K runs, a brewer’s competition, a parade and a pub crawl. The 41st Annual Oktoberfest Denver will take place Sept. 17-19 and Sept. 24-26 in the Ballpark Neighborhood, where visitors can pay homage to David Hasselhoff during the Das Hustlehoff 5K and 10K Running Race on Sept. 18. Oktoberfest also features the Dry Dock Home Brewers Competition on Sept. 25 and the Long Dog Derby & Costume Contest on Sept. 26.
New Belgium’s Tour De Fat features a bike parade in City Park on Sept. 11. The event is family-friendly, free and features live music, eco-friendly activities, as well as New Belgium Brewery’s beer.
On Sept. 18, from 7 to 9 p.m., Breckenridge Brewery hosts the Gastravaganza of Beautiful Beer and Splendid Street Food party. The event features Colorado craft beers from Wynkoop Brewing, Breckenridge Brewery, Ska Brewing, Odell’s, Avery, Left Hand and Del Norte Brewing, paired with Denver’s street food from GastroCart, Brava Pizza, Biker Jim’s Gourmet Dogs, The Cupcake Truck, Steuben’s and Deluxe Burger. Tickets are $65 per person.
Other events that take place during the Denver Beer Fest include Beer Gardens @ Elitch Gardens, Appaloosa Grill at the Great Divide Beer Garden, the BeerAdvocate Does Denver Pub Crawl and the 13th Annual Brew at the Zoo.
