“The expansion enables the property to maintain its position as a market leader and attract more business from small- and medium-sized groups considering Austin as a destination,” said Allen Alderman, director of sales and marketing. “It also provides a more dedicated environment so that smaller gatherings are not competing with larger in-house groups. Our goal is to provide a quality experience that customers remember and keep them returning year after year.”
The new developments are concentrated within the property’s fourth and sixth floor conference levels, adding 18 additional meeting rooms totaling 10,000 square feet. The additions bring the facility to a total of 80,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, and the meeting rooms have been redesigned and expanded from 21 rooms to 39.
Additionally, the hotel received a technological upgrade that increased Internet access to 100 megabytes of bandwidth. With this upgrade, during periods of high demand, guests will be able to log on and connect with the Internet regardless of the amount of online traffic.
