Willows Lodge, a Northwest-style lodge located just outside of Seattle, has announced the return of Holiday Boot Camp.
The weekly series of free food and beverage classes is aimed at helping people navigate the challenges of holiday entertaining. Participants learn from the experts of the hotel's Barking Frog restaurant, who share tips for creating the perfect holiday cocktails, appetizers, wine pairings and desserts. Attendees receive recipe cards and samples of the items made during each class.
Masters of their trade, each expert brings his or her own flare to Holiday Boot Camp. Executive chef Bobby Moore excels in American regional cuisine with Pacific Northwest influences. Restaurant and wine managers Matthew Davis and Jennifer Schmitt maintain the wines, beers and spirits on the menus while also working together to concoct handcrafted cocktails. Pastry chef Matt Kelley is an expert in all things sweet and savory where dessert is concerned.
The series begins on Nov. 30, 2011 and continues on the next two consecutive Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Each class take place in Fireside Cellars, the resort's outdoor patio overlooking the surrounding landscape. Classes are complimentary to attend. Seating is extremely limited and on a first come, first serve basis.
