Windstar Offers 2013/2014 Two-for-One Cruise Deals

Dec 10, 2012

Windstar Cruises is launching its collection of 2013/2014 Caribbean and Costa Rican voyages with two-for-one cruise fares, plus bonus savings of up to $1,000 per stateroom when booked by Dec. 29. This is a good way to offer a unique Caribbean sailing experience that is still close to home. The romantic ships are also an attractive sight as they arrive in port under full sail, and clients will enjoy Windstar’s onboard luxury.

Three eclectic Caribbean itineraries and two exotic Costa Rican itineraries make up the collection, which emphasizes the hidden harbors and pristine beaches of the Caribbean, with every cruise including Windstar’s signature beach barbecue. Guests can also enjoy the tropical waters right from the yacht, with Windstar’s watersports platform from which clients can sail, water ski, wakeboard, kayak, paddleboard and more.

Itinerary choices include the seven-day Flavors of the Caribbean onboard the 310-guest Wind Surf, sailing roundtrip from Philipsburg, St. Maarten, with visits to Le Marin, Martinique; Pigeon Island, St. Lucia; Roseau, Dominica; Les Saintes, Guadeloupe; and Basseterre, St. Kitts, on Dec. 14, 2013 and Jan. 11 and 25, Feb. 8 and 22; and March 8 and 22, 2014. Early booking savings fares start from $1,799 per person, double occupancy.

The Jewels of the Windward Islands sails to little-known, unspoiled islands such as the Grenadines, Grenada and St. Lucia. Seven-day cruises sail from Bridgetown, Barbados, with calls at Pigeon Island, St. Lucia; St. George’s Grenada; Mayreau, St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Tobago Cays, St. Vincent and the Grenadines; and Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Departures are Dec. 14, 21, 28, 2013; Jan. 4, 11, 18, 25; Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22 and March 1, 8, 15, 22, 2014. Early booking savings fares start at $1,799 per person.

Costa Rican sailings include seven-day Passage Through Panama cruises on the 148-passenger Wind Spirit, departing from Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica or Colón, Panama. Cruises combine passage through the Canal with historic and cultural destinations in Costa Rica and Panama, visiting Bahia Drake, Costa Rica; Golfito, Costa Rica; Isla de Coiba, Panama; Panama Canal Transit; and San Blas, Panama. Costa Rica was a world leader in ecotourism, using tourism to its parks and waters to fund conservation. Naturally, Costa Rica takes passengers to dive, kayak, hike or photograph through some of the world’s most diverse and exotic wildlife destinations. The seven-day sailing on Wind Spirit is roundtrip Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, with visits to San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua; Playas del Coco, Costa Rica; Quepos, Costa Rica; Bahia Drake, Costa Rica; Curu, Costa Rica; and Tortuga Island, Costa Rica. The cruise departs Feb. 9, 2014.  Early booking savings fares start from $1,999 per person, double.

The recent extensive renovation to the Windstar fleet includes updated decor in public areas, with new furnishings, upholstery, art, lighting, wall coverings, carpeting, ceiling finishes, window treatments, and floor coverings. The new design has an elegant color scheme combining sand and marine shades against warm wood finishes, elevating the look.

In addition, the main dining room has been transformed into the AmphorA Restaurant with a redesigned seating layout and extensive wine display. A new menu will be featured, spotlighting local dishes and savory cuisine such as porcini and truffle fettuccini. The Veranda’s outdoor seating has also been expanded, and a live-action cooking station will provides guests with custom dining options.
