As it awaits the launch of its upcoming MSC World Europa, MSC Cruises is updating its MSC Voyagers Club loyalty program with added benefits within its new Voyagers Exclusives feature.
Updates to MSC Voyagers Club
MSC’s loyalty program features five levels: Welcome, Classic, Silver, Gold and Diamond — and all are capable of earning points and amassing benefits. Perks include a minimum discount of 5% off any voyage, reserved at any time. (Previously, Voyages Selection only offered savings on certain itineraries.)
Booking further in advance comes with additional discounts. An extra 5% savings is available to guests who reserve their trip at least six months prior to the sailing’s departure. And Silver, Gold and Diamond members who book at least nine months ahead will get the 10% discount in addition to a $50 onboard credit. And all members who make a booking during their sailings (at least 12 months prior to the next sailing) will receive double reward points.
“The new Voyagers Exclusives scheme is set to reward each and every member of our loyalty program with every booking made for our entire portfolio of ships and itineraries year-round,” said Achille Staiano, vice president of global sales for MSC Cruises. “We know that our Voyagers Club members are always keen to move from one tier up to another, and the double points available for bookings made 12 months prior to departure are a fast track to success on all counts. All in all, Voyagers Exclusives has benefits for everyone who joins up when they book a holiday at sea with MSC Cruises.”
As before, MSC Status Match allows guests to transfer their tier status from other cruise line, hotel and tour operator loyalty programs via travel agents or online.
New Public Spaces Unveiled for MSC World Europa
Meanwhile, MSC has also revealed details of its highly anticipated MSC World Europa, which is scheduled to launch in December.
The latest updates include information on the ship’s onboard entertainment. MSC World Europa will showcase the Panorama Lounge at the stern for immersive performances; the 1,153-seat World Theatre for original production shows; and the Luna Park Arena for interactive family fun such as film screenings, game shows, other children’s activities and themed parties (plus a roller-disco and even bumper cars). The vessel will also feature a 8,200-square-foot kids’ and teens’ club that will be the largest in the fleet and feature extended hours.
Among the ship’s previously touted six pools and 14 hot tubs will be the adults-only Zen Pool area at the aft of Deck 18 (itself encompassing a total of two pools, a solarium and a shaded lounge space). The public Aquapark will be the largest MSC has ever installed, with a kids’ pool and waterslides.
Meanwhile, La Plage will be the ship’s 37,000-square-foot main terraced pool deck, and the Botanic Garden Pool will be complete with a retractable roof, a tropical bar and a lounge area.
MSC Yacht Club Upgrades and Suites
The fleet’s biggest MSC Yacht Club will again highlight a private sundeck, this time across two levels with a pool and whirlpool, plus dedicated massage rooms in the ship’s MSC Aurea Spa.

Included therein will be a double bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe, a bathroom with a full-size imperial bathtub, separate living and dining areas and a private veranda with its own dining area and whirlpool.
Duplex Suites will also be available, which contain two decks each. One floor will include a guest bathroom, a dining area and a lounge, while the other will encompass a main bedroom and a bathroom with a tub. A pair of balconies will have comfortable loungers for sunbathing on one, and a whirlpool bath and lounge area with additional seating on the other.
MSC World Europa Itineraries
World Europa’s initial itineraries will begin in the Gulf region starting on Dec. 20 with a four-night sailing from Doha, Qatar, to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Following the maiden voyage will be a series of seven-night cruises sailing roundtrip from Dubai, overnighting to Abu Dhabi and visiting MSC’s private (at least when the line’s ships call there) Sir Bani Yas Island.
Other ports of call on the route will include Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and Doha.
The ship will then leave for the Mediterranean on March 25, 2023, for a summer season of weeklong voyages heading to Genoa, Naples and Messina in Italy, plus Valletta, Malta; Barcelona, Spain; and Marseille, France.
