Riviera River Cruises has unveiled plans for a new ship and several new itineraries set to debut in 2026. The company is also offering a 50% discount on all 2026 European river cruise departures booked by November 30, 2024.
The centerpiece of Riviera's expansion is the 443-foot Riviera Resplendence, which will accommodate 178 passengers across 89 cabins. The ship will feature a new split-level bar and restaurant, as well as a third dining venue called Mosaic, offering tasting menus inspired by European rivers. Other amenities include a sun deck with pool, bistro with open kitchen, fitness center and spa.
"As we launch sales for 2026, we have a lot to offer that's new, from a spacious ship with a third dining venue to itineraries focused on nature, gardens, gastronomy, music and art, and a cruise through Germany for solo travelers," said Marilyn Conroy, executive vice president sales and marketing North America for Riviera River Cruises.
The company is introducing five new themed itineraries:
"Gardens & Natural Beauty of the Rhine" will be an 8-day cruise featuring 11 experiences focused on natural and cultivated landscapes along the Rhine.
"Gastronomy of the Danube" will be an 8-day journey with 15 culinary experiences, including wine tastings and local specialties in Austria, Hungary and Slovakia, and "Gastronomy of the Rhine & Moselle" will be an 8-day cruise offering 11 food and wine experiences in Germany. Similarly, "Gastronomy of the Seine" will be an 8-day French culinary adventure with 13 tasting experiences in Normandy and Paris.
And "Music & Art of the Blue Danube" will be an 8-day cultural cruise featuring 12 experiences centered around classical music and fine art.
Additionally, Riviera is launching a new solo traveler departure called "Medieval Germany for Solo Travelers." This 8-day cruise will explore historic German towns and landmarks.
Pricing for the new itineraries starts at $3,199 per person based on double occupancy, with the solo traveler cruise priced from $4,699 per person.
