With winter vacation rapidly approaching, it’s time to start planning fun activities for the family. Here are some exciting travel deals perfect for the holiday season.
Have a Beach Vacation in the BahamasLighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan in the Bahamas is offering a new Bahama Beach Holiday package for families. The deal includes up to 35 percent savings on the hotel’s all-inclusive amenities, including all meals, premium drinks, entertainment and activities included in the room price.
Rates start at $169 per person, per night, for stays until Dec. 20, 2017; and $191 per person, per night, for travel taking place until Jan. 1, 2018. Children who are 4 years old or younger can stay at the resort for free, and kids who are 5 to 12 will receive 50 percent off the starting rate.
The resort is located on Grand Bahama Island, so guests can expect to enjoy both an authentic island experience as well as stunning views of the sea.
New Holiday Package at Four Seasons Resort NevisA festive and sunny vacation awaits guests who book a stay at Four Seasons Resort Nevis this holiday season. On Christmas, kids can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus during a Santa Fiesta event that includes live entertainment from dancers and cultural groups.
Additionally, the resort’s Kids For All Seasons program includes curated activities for guests who are between the ages of 3 and 9. Programs include family Olympics on the beach; movie nights by the pool; nighttime scavenger hunts; and watersports activities throughout the day. During the interactive “Coconut Story” program, Mac kee France, the director of guest experiences, will recount the uses of the coconut and the coconut tree in Nevis. Then, Spiderman will climb a coconut tree and retrieve a few for children to sample.
Go Museum Hopping in WashingtonFamilies visiting Tacoma, Wash., can expand their daily itineraries with the new Tacoma Museum Pass, which allows a complimentary single-admission entry to six downtown museums within walking distance of each other. Participating museums are Children’s Museum of Tacoma, Tacoma Art Museum, Washington State History Museum, America’s Car Museum, Foss Waterway Seaport and Museum of Glass.
Museum passes are $52.50 per person for adults; $42 for students, seniors and military members; and free for children ages 5 and under. The museum pass can be purchased online. It is valid for one year from the first museum visit.
