Okemo Mountain Resort Offers Snowmobile Tours Just for Kids

Okemo Mountain Resort, a Ludlow, Vt.-based ski and snowboard property, is adding a new activity to its winter lineup: snowmobile tours designed just for kids.

The “pint-size” Polaris Indy 120 CX snowmobiles travel at a maximum speed of 8 mph. Each tour consists of up to four riders and lasts 15 minutes. Riders drive on a specially designed course at Jackson Gore Paleo Field and are led by an adult riding a full-size sled.

Children must be between the ages of 5 and 12, weigh no more than 120 pounds and be 5’4’’ or under to participate. Helmets are provided. Tours are $29, and reservations are recommended.
