Here Are All of Disneyland’s Events for 2025 and 2026

For the second year in a row, Disneyland Resort has released its entire calendar of special events and seasonal celebrations, including big plans for Disneyland Park's 70^th anniversary, which begins on May 16, 2025, and extends through summer 2026.

Among the many special events clients will want to plan their 2025 Disneyland visits for are the annual Lunar New Year celebration, Food & Wine Festival, and Halloween Time Oogie Boogie Bash at California Adventure Park, as well as the themed Disneyland After Dark after-hours parties in Disneyland Park.

Disneyland 70^th Celebration

Disneyland’s milestone anniversary will invite clients to “celebrate happy” with special decor, food and beverage options, merchandise, the return of fan-favorite entertainment offerings, the debut of a brand-new nighttime spectacular and a new addition to an iconic opening day attraction.

On May 16, 2025, "Walt Disney — A Magical Life" will debut at the Main Street Opera House theater. The new show tells the story of Walt Disney's journey, which culminates in a visit with Walt himself, who will be brought to life through Audio-Animatronics.

As part of the anniversary celebration, the “Wondrous Journeys” fireworks and projection show created for Disney’s 100^th anniversary will once again illuminate Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland, while an all-new water and projection show called “World of Color Happiness!” will debut at California Adventure. The show celebrates Walt’s famous words from the park’s opening day — “To all who come to this happy place … welcome!” — as hosts Joy and the other Emotions from “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2” film franchise present music and moments from favorite Disney stories, including “Turning Red,” “A Goofy Movie,” “Tangled” and “The Lion King.”

In addition, the “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” daytime parade introduced in 2024 during Pixar Fest will return to California Adventure, and the “Paint the Night” nighttime parade, which debuted in 2015 for the park’s 60^th anniversary, will return to Main Street U.S.A. (Travel advisors should note that “Wondrous Journeys” and “Better Together” will pause for seasonal Halloween and holiday entertainment.)

Favorite Festivals

Disneyland Resort will celebrate The Year of the Snake from Jan. 17 through Feb. 16, 2025, with “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” (performed on select days), “Hurry Home — A Lunar New Year Celebration” presented before “World of Color” and Asian-inspired menus at six Lunar New Year marketplaces and select dining locations throughout California Adventure. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will also debut all-new outfits that represent traditional Korean attire.

From Feb. 28 through Apr. 21, 2025, the California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will celebrate the flavors of the Golden State at 10 festival marketplaces, including two with new themes. The festival will also feature live entertainment, special culinary experiences and the return of the original Soarin’ Over California attraction.

Special Events

Ducks fans can celebrate their favorite hockey team on Jan. 24, 2025 (aka Anaheim Ducks Day) with a special cavalcade and appearances by select players in California Adventure. The Anaheim Ducks Day Overtime fan zone in the Downtown Disney District will feature additional entertainment, activities and photo ops.

Celebrate Gospel also returns to Disneyland Park on Feb. 8 and Feb. 15, 2025, with performances by community choirs from across Southern California and award-winning Gospel artists.

In 2025, Season of the Force will celebrate all things Star Wars from March 28 through May 11, including nightly performances of “Fire of the Rising Moons” at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge featuring new projection effects and “galactic music” (enhanced with fireworks on select nights) and the return of the Hyperspace Mountain overlay of Space Mountain.

Seasonal Celebrations

Halloween Time 2025 will take place across Disneyland from Aug. 22 through Oct. 31, with not-so-scary entertainment, themed food and beverages, the Halloween Screams fireworks spectacular and four attraction overlays: Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween in Cars Land; Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark in Avengers Campus; and of course, Haunted Mansion Holiday in New Orleans Square.

From Aug. 22 through Nov. 2, 2025, clients can also experience Plaza de la Familia at California Adventure, a celebration of Dia de Los Muertos inspired by “Coco,” including special menu items and entertainment.

Beginning Nov. 14, 2025, and continuing through Jan. 7, 2026, Disneyland will be decked in festive decor and offer holiday entertainment, treats and the “it’s a small world” overlay. In California Adventure, the Disney Festival of Holidays features entertainment and flavors inspired by multicultural seasonal celebrations.

Separately Ticketed Events

The 2025 Disneyland After Dark events at Disneyland Park include Sweethearts’ Nite on select dates in January and February, 90s Nite on March 4 and 6, Star Wars Nite on select nights in April and May, and Pride Nite on June 16 and 18.

Tickets for Sweethearts’ Nite and 90s Nite go on sale on Dec. 12, 2024; tickets for Star Wars Nite and Pride Nite will be available at a later date.

In 2025, the always-popular Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will offer more nights than ever, with parties on 31 select dates from Aug. 17 through Oct. 31. The after-hours event features themed treat trails featuring iconic Disney Villains, the Villains Grove walk-through experience, and the Frightfully Fun Parade.

DisneylandForward

2025 will also kick off the resort’s exciting DisneylandForward project, with construction beginning on the expansion of Avengers Campus at California Adventure, which will include two additional attractions: Avengers: Infinity Defense, which will take clients on a multiverse-inspired adventure with Iron Man, Ant-Man, Black Panther and The Hulk; and Stark Flight Lab, which allows riders to test new flight tech developed by Tony Stark.

To make way for the new experiences, the last date to ride the Red Car Trolley will be Feb. 8, 2025.

A new 70th anniversary hotel offer (bookable beginning Dec. 5, 2024) allows clients to save up to 30% on select stays of four nights or longer at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort from May 16 through Sept. 26, 2025.
