Kauai’s McBryde Garden has long been lauded for its rare and exotic plant collections. From May 6 to July 10, its natural gifts will mingle with human creations thanks to “Nature Connects: Art with Lego Bricks,” a traveling exhibit and the brainchild of artist Sean Kenney.
Using more than 370,000 individual Lego pieces, Kenney has crafted 14 nature-themed sculptures that will enliven the grounds of McBryde, a National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG). It’s the only place in Hawaii where visitors can see this whimsical exhibit, artfully arranged across more than 50 flourishing acres. During its run, NTBG will also present contests, movie nights and other special events. Clients can see Nature Connects on regular, self-guided tours of McBryde Garden.
