Marriott’s Autograph Collection Aims to Add 100th Hotel by Year’s End
Several hotels have been added to Marriott International’s Autograph Collection this year. The newest is Grand Bohemian Hotel Charleston in Charleston, S.C. The 50-room luxury boutique hotel is the collection’s first South Carolina-based property and the 89th hotel to join Autograph’s collection. Known for its “Southern Renaissance-style,” Grand Bohemian Hotel is located in the city’s historic district and features an art gallery and a rooftop restaurant and terrace.
Autograph hopes to welcome its 100th hotel by the end of this year.

L.E. Hotels Renovates Four Properties, Adds Two in Collection Expansion
L.E. Hotels, an international hotel representation company, has announced the relaunch of four renovated properties in California and Paris, along with the addition of two new properties in Spain and Australia.
Highlights of the renovations include a $2 million interior design update at The Empress Hotel in La Jolla, Calif.; the addition of a sauna, a meeting space and an outdoor bar at Hotel Le Littre in Paris; and room upgrades at the 153-room King George Hotel in San Francisco. L.E.’s new members — Limes Hotel in Brisbane, Australia, and BCN Urban Gran Rosellon in Barcelona, Spain — will now have the benefits of a global distribution system and 14 regional sales offices to amplify the properties’ visibility and revenue.

Design Hotels Expands to Welcome Eight New Members
Design Hotels, which provides hospitality services to more than 280 independently owned boutique and luxury hotels around the world, has welcomed eight new properties into its collection: AthensWas Hotel in Athens, Greece; Furnas Boutique Hotel Thermal & Spa in Sao Miguel, Portugal; Phum Baitang in Siem Reap, Cambodia; The Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai; Hospes Palacio de San Esteban in Salamanca, Spain; Qvest Hotel in Cologne, Germany; The House Hotel in Cappadocia, Turkey; and Casa Malca in Tulum, Mexico.
These properties, chosen for their unique design and architecture, are meant to be a reflection of the designers’ unique experiences and creative visions.
