What: Fresh from an $11 million renovation, Azul Beach Hotel by Karisma has been redesigned to enhance the guest experience. The 90-suite hotel recently unveiled a collection of new suite categories that are ideal for both couples and families and are also 500 square feet larger than before.

Where: Located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, the resort is situated on Petempich Beach.

Guestrooms: The resort's new suite categories include Junior Suites and Junior Swim-Up Suites that are perfect for families. The nine suites offer between 487 and 530 square feet of space. Guests have the option of one king-size bed or two queen-size beds, and Junior Swim-Up Suites connect to a lazy-river pool. Suites are designed in a contemporary Caribbean style with dark wood accents, canopy beds, spacious sitting areas, private terraces and marble bathrooms complete with hydro-jet Jacuzzis and rainforest showerheads, as well as double vanities. Each suite comes equipped with a 32-inch plasma television, a DVD player, an iPod docking station, an amenity kit, a once-daily stocked minibar, deluxe bathrobes and an oversized terrace.

Fun for Kids: Azul Beach Hotel has unveiled a new Azulitos Kid's Club. The 1,600-square-foot facility is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a full-day activity program. The Azulitos Kid's Club includes a Fisher-Price Toy Lending Library and play sessions by Fisher-Price -- both a part of Karisma's longstanding partnership and program with the toy manufacturer. There is also a Lego Corner, a Doll Corner, a nap room, video games, a play area and a My Gym Children's Fitness Center for children ages 6-12.The resort also supplies parents with everything from cribs, changing tables and monitors to bottle warmers, baby spa robes, strollers and Gerber baby food as a part of its Pack & Play and Baby & Toddler Inclusive program.
