Designed for Decadence

Mar 26, 2008

Recruit your engaged clients to indulge in a little pre-matrimony bliss on a girls getaway that puts a twist on training. The all-inclusive Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort is offering a Bridal Boot Camp series where the only sweating is in the steam room, the only heavy lifting will be toting shopping bags, and the only food deprivation will be if the bride and bridal party forego the chocolate massage.

“In keeping up with the girlfriend getaway and boot-camp trend, we decided to combine the two,” said Oscar Cruces, director general. “Our expansive oceanview suite accommodations, gourmet dining, beautiful spa, fitness classes and other luxe all-inclusive amenities make Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort the perfect location for a group of girlfriends to get together.”

Available May 1-Nov. 30, Grand Velas Resort's bridal getaways start at $12,670 for up to five women in one or two adjoining (if needed) Parlor or Master Suites. An upgraded Diamond Boot Camp starts at $19,850 for up to five women in a two-bedroom Governor Suite, while the ultimate Five Diamond Boot Camp offers everything from private dance classes to Diamond Body Scrubs from $30,260 for up to five women in a two- or three-bedroom Presidential Penthouse Suite.

“For brides and bridesmaids, it is even more of a necessity to get away before the wedding so they can relax, have fun, pamper themselves, spend time together and not worry about the wedding plans for a couple of days,” said Cruces.

Basic Bridal Boot Camp

During this three-night stay, bridal boot campers will be treated to a private outdoor dinner, a city and shopping tour of downtown Puerto Vallarta, plus several beauty and relaxation treatments at Grand Velas' Leading Spa of the World.

After private registration and a welcome beverage, campers will sweat out toxins during a heavenly hydrotherapy circuit, buff up skin with a Tau-Sol body scrub, spruce up uprights during a revitalizing leg massage, and feel like a girly-girl with a pretty mani-pedi. Special wedding goodies, such as a bridal planner, wristlet with photo, mini-jewelry travel case, "Future Mrs.&.” T-shirt and personalized beach bag are also included.

Diamond Boot Camp

Inclusive of all the activities and amenities in the Bridal Boot Camp package, the upgraded three-night Diamond Boot Camp Package offers bridal boot campers the opportunity to indulge in a delicious Chocolate Wrap, expend tension with a vital energy Kipori Facial, double the relaxation results with a Four Hands Massage and shed those few extra pounds with a Slimming Anti-Cellulite Lipo-Wrap. For all the extra primping, Diamond Boot Camp guests also receive a spa bag with slippers, robe and Calla Lilly spa travel case.

Five Diamond Boot Camp

For ladies who really want to kick it up a notch, the ultimate four-night Five Diamond Boot Camp Package thrusts the Diamond Boot Camp to a new level. In addition to private dance lessons, the Five Diamond package lets bridal boot campers relish in luxury with a Diamond Body Scrub, soak up sophistication in a Diamond Bath Therapy, relieve tension with proven ancient techniques in a Neuro-Aroma Mineral Massage, please the senses during the Oxygen Diamond Facial and tame the tresses with a Relaxing Scalp Massage and Ritual Hair Treatments.

Along with a personalized wedding guest book, the bride will receive Swarovski Crystal Swans, a silver-plated pen and heart pendant, crystal necklace and earring set, freshwater pearl bracelet, crystal clamshell with pearl and a dazzling circle pendant necklace. To capture the fun, guests will be given Hearts Delight personalized cameras.

A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort is located in Nuevo Vallarta just 15 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta on Banderas Bay. It brings to the Riviera Nayarit 267 oceanview suites, ultra-spacious Spa Suites in the resort's new tower and new Imperial Suites.

As the crown jewel of the resort, Grand Velas Spa offers 20 treatment rooms, over 80 spa treatments, a high-performance gym and exercise room, spa boutique and beauty salon. Five restaurants three of which are gourmet feature stylish decor and a la carte choices for French, Italian or Mexican cuisine. The resort also offers tiered three-temperature infinity pools with iPod minis, a tennis court and special entertainment for adults.

All rates are subject to 15 percent tax. Up to three additional guests may be added to the package guest list, with rates ranging from $1,850-$3,670 per person depending on the level of the package.
