In an effort to support Haiti’s coffee industry, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is now pouring Haitian coffee at the Four Seasons Hotel New York and the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. The heirloom coffee, which grows semi-wild in the mountains near Thiotte, will likely be made available at additional Four Seasons properties in the future.
Haiti was once one of the world’s largest coffee exporters, but the industry has declined in recent years. To further bolster the country’s coffee culture, Four Seasons is collaborating with the Clinton Foundation and other non-profits to support Haiti Coffee Academy, a model coffee farm that teaches local workers how to improve crop quality and yield.
