The Most Important Meal of the Day
Hilton Hotels has introduced the Hilton Breakfast Program that features a color-coded system allowing guests more choice and control over the first meal of the day. Following the launch of the program internationally in 2002, the Hilton Breakfast will be available at all Hilton properties in North America by summer.

The concept features color-coded labels displayed on the breakfast buffet and on menus to assist guests visually in managing their dietary needs. The labels denote whether the menu item is low-cholesterol, low-fat, high-fiber, low-calorie, high-energy or an indulgence. Guests will enjoy a variety of food and beverage items, as well as local specialties, offered on the more than 80-item breakfast buffet and a la carte menu.

Additionally, Hilton is offering complimentary breakfast for children ages 5 and under with each paying adult.

“Since everyone’s idea of the perfect breakfast differs, offering a wide array of food choices is an important way that we continue to focus on helping our guests personalize their journeys,” said Jeff Diskin, senior vice president of brand marketing, Hilton Hotels.

A Pair of Promotions
Funjet Vacations is coming together with Sandals and Beaches Resorts to support agents by adding bonus items to the two new Jet Set Getaway and It’s in the Bag incentives.

The Jet Set Getaway promotion offers agents the chance to win one of 40 prizes, including a grand prize of a Trip of a Lifetime to Sandals Resorts in a Butler category suite. Plus, if any of the winning entries are reservations via Funjet Vacations, the winning travel agent will receive an additional exclusive bonus gift.

With the It’s in the Bag promotion, agents will earn a designer handbag with seven to 14 Sandals, Beaches or Royal Plantation reservations. If they make seven to 14 reservations via Funjet Vacations, they will receive the matching wallet and up to $200 in Bonus Commission Certificates. Bookings must be in the second category or higher to qualify (standard rooms do not qualify). The Butler category and Royal Plantation bookings count as two.

For both promotions, the booking window is through Sept. 30 with travel through Dec. 21. Valid reservations must be of three nights or longer to any Sandals, Beaches or Royal Plantation resort. Royal Plantation bookings count for two entries.

Remington’s New Gallery Goes on Display
This June, Remington plans to unveil The Gallery, a collection of signature luxury resort hotels slated to be developed in select U.S. and international destinations.

Its premier resort, One Ocean, in Atlantic Beach, Fla., is in active development, while other destinations include Key West, Fla., Santa Fe, N.M., Bend, Ore., and the Turks and Caicos Islands, all in pre-development. Eight or more properties are planned by 2010.

The Gallery presents a portfolio of world-class resort hotels, and each captures the essence of its environment. The new properties will combine service and natural surroundings, with state-of-the-art spa and fitness facilities, dining, meeting space, golf, kids club and other recreational options with a mantra of Always in Your Element. Guests will be hosted by signature Gallery “docents” serving as personalized concierges and can enjoy artful onsite photo galleries, plus photography instruction.
