Holiday Packages Offered at Red Carnation Hotels
Red Carnation Hotels in London have unveiled new holiday packages to celebrate the winter season.
London’s The Milestone Hotel, Egerton House Hotel and "41" are offering an It’s a Wonderful Life at Christmas package, which includes a minimum two-night stay in luxury, five-star accommodations, a deluxe tree ornament, a DVD of "It’s A Wonderful Life," full daily English breakfast, tea for two with Christmas cake and more from Nov. 21 through Jan. 11, 2009. Rates begin at $1,246 per night, but vary depending on the hotel.
At The Rubens at the Palace, The Montague on the Gardens and The Chesterfield Mayfair, also in London, guests can book a Magical London package that includes a minimum two-night stay in luxury four-star accommodations, Christmas gift, Santa hat, full English breakfast daily, tea for two with Christmas cake and more. Rates for this package begin at $712 per night, and the offer is valid from Nov. 21 through Jan. 11, 2009.

Peninsula Celebrates
Peninsula Hotels worldwide have plenty to celebrate this fall. Two Peninsula properties are celebrating anniversaries this year: The storied Peninsula Hong Kong turns 80, and the technologically advanced Peninsula Tokyo turns one this year.
The luxury chain is also welcoming a new property in Shanghai in September 2009, as well as a new Espa at The Peninsula New York on Dec. 1. The new three-story spa was designed by Alexandra Champalimaud and consists of 12 treatment rooms; men’s and women’s relaxation rooms; separate male and female thermal experiences; an elegant pool with views above Manhattan; yoga and fitness areas; and more. The spa will also serve as the U.S. debut of Espa’s Super Active collection of high-performance facials.

Boston Fairmont Set to Open in DecemberFairmont Hotels & Resorts announced that it will open the new Fairmont Battery Wharf this December. The 150-room hotel, the brand’s second Boston hotel, is located on the waterfront, next to the city’s historic North End, and offers 6,000 square feet of meeting space.
"Fairmont’s investment in the city is further proof that Boston is a top destination and our hotel market remains strong," Boston mayor Thomas M. Menino said.
The new hotel is one of a number of recent new Fairmont hotel developments, including the Fairmont Hyrderabad in India; the Fairmont Roco Ki in the Dominican Republic; the Fairmont Haitang Bay Resort in Sanya, China; the Fairmont Marrakech in Morocco; and the Fairmont Manila in the Philippines. The Fairmont Pittsburgh is scheduled to open in 2009.

Carlson Hotels Ups Reward Savings in 2009Beginning Oct. 1, all Goldpoints Plus frequent guest program members who stay at least three times at any Carlson Hotels Worldwide property through Dec. 31 will qualify for a special redemption rate in 2009.
