Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced a plan to transform standard in-room televisions into interactive entertainment centers and virtual concierges at full-service properties across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.
With the new installment, guests will have access to a range of options, including interactive entertainment, hotel services, local information, Internet browsing, printing services and other features.
“Imagine a world where you can use your hotel room television to place a room service order, book a local tour, stream a movie from your Netflix account and download a document to be printed at the front desk,” said Pete Sears, senior vice president of North America operations. “This is the future hotel experience at Hyatt.”
Systems have already been installed at Hyatt properties in New Orleans, New York and Denver, Colo., and will be installed in up to 60,000 guestrooms over the next two years. www.hyatt.com
