To celebrate Earth Day and promote its commitment to environmental responsibility, Kimpton Hotels & Resorts will be launching eco-friendly events, amenities and promotions as part of its Kimpton EarthCare Week, April 15-22.
The celebration will include pop-up eco-art exhibits, with hotels partnering with local artists to create art exhibits for its hotels; a National Eco Step Challenge, where guests can check out pedometers at the front desk and pound the pavement in order to win prizes; a wine hour by candlelight to conserve energy; farmer's market visits and cooking demonstrations with Kimpton chefs; and a recycling day, where guests and the community can bring in unwanted computer equipment for recycling. There will also be fundraising events, new organic menus and partnerships with local nonprofits.
In addition, guests receive a 20 percent discount on all in-room spa treatments for the month of April, and visitors booking the Ohhh So Organic Massage Package get an overnight stay and a 50-minute, in-room signature organic Kerstin Florian massage (a $135 value) for $50 more than the best available room rate.
