Ocean Breeze Hotels, a new venture of the 35-year-old Grupo Vidanta hotel company, has launched in Acapulco, Mazatlan, Nuevo Vallarta and the Riviera Maya. The hotels are budget-oriented and situated within Groupo Vidanta’s Mayan Palace and Grand Maya timeshare villages. Ocean Breeze Hotels have spacious guestrooms and family suites with a bright, contemporary and casual resort design. Suites have fully equipped kitchenettes and dining areas. Each property offers on-site dining, ranging from informal poolside snacks to casually elegant restaurants. All of the properties’ resorts offer Kids Clubs at additional cost.
The newest property to open, Ocean Breeze Riviera Maya, is located 18 miles from Cancun International Airport and is situated in a quiet area surrounded by lush gardens. Its 96 rooms, including three fully equipped handicapped rooms, all have LCD plasma televisions, minibars, Wi-Fi and balconies. The main restaurant is adjacent to the pool and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can get a change of scenery by walking to the timeshare village’s beach and larger swimming pools and (about 25 minutes) or taking the shuttle (about a 10-minute ride), which departs every 30 minutes. At an additional cost, guests at Ocean Breeze Riviera Maya can use the Mayan Palace resort’s Jack Nicklaus-designed, 18-hole golf course; Brio Spa and fitness center.
Summer packages at all four Ocean Breeze properties provide three meals and unlimited beverages at the Ocean Breeze on-site restaurant. The rate for six nights at the Riviera Maya property for two adults and up to two children under the age of 12 is $1,350 per room.
