So that visitors can bring along their best friends, ME by Melia Hotels in Los Cabos, Madrid and Cancun are offering their Pet ME package at no cost for the family pooch. Usually priced between $100-150 per stay, the fee has been waived for the entire month of December so that pets can tag along on holiday vacations.
Included is a Pet ME Doggie Amenity kit packed with doggie treats and balls for playing catch; a doggie daybed, blanket and water and food dispenser with Eukanuba; the Pet ME Owner’s Kit with plastic baggies, a map with designated pet-friendly walking areas surrounding the hotel; and at an additional cost Pet ME trainers will pet-sit or walk the pooch.

Francis: The Earthquake Dog book.
The Westin St. Francis is putting pups in the lap of luxury with their Heavenly Dog Package. The San Francisco property’s canine package starts at $279 and is good through Jan. 31.
Upon check-in, a silver platter of gourmet dog treats and another with homemade chocolate-chip cookies and two VOSS waters will be delivered to the guestroom for owners and pooches to enjoy pets even get their VOSS water in a silver bowl. Dogs can tuck in to the Westin Heavenly Dog Bed, complete with miniature duvet. The package also includes the book “Francis: The Earthquake Dog” as a memento of the Westin’s own famed terrier that was found in the hotel after the 1906 earthquake.

Omni pooches get the royal treatment.
Pooches are now treated like royalty when staying at the Omni Hotels of California with the It’s a Dog’s Life package at the San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco properties.
Through Dec. 30, pet owners can treat their four-legged friends to accommodations for dog and master; a separate doggie bed; Cloud Star’s new organic Buddy Biscuits at turndown; a choice of favorite dog-themed movies including “Lassie,” “Benji” and “101 Dalmations”; a list of How to Live a Dog’s Life with local dog-friendly beaches, parks, restaurants and bars with outdoor seating; and a dog tag with the Omni Hotel address for pups who may stray.
The package is priced at $289 per night for dogs under 40 pounds.
