The Will You Marry Me package includes a deluxe room in the Georgian Main House; a welcome bottle of champagne in the guestroom upon arrival, full Irish breakfast for two; rose-petal turndown service that can spell out “will you marry me” upon request; and a Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Lady jewelry watch engraved with “will you marry me,” provided by Paul Sheeran Jewellers and valued at $7,000.
The package itself, valid throughout the year, is priced at $7,000 per couple and The Merrion will assist in creative delivery plans with help from Paul Sheeran Jewellers in selecting an engagement ring.

Women can do the asking
at The Mayfair.
To honor a tradition from the 1200s, The Mayfair in London is encouraging women to do the asking on Feb. 29. While it was illegal for women to propose, Leap Day was exempted because it was not recognized by England’s legal calendar.
The Leap Year Proposal package, available through March 16, includes a Proposal Butler; one night’s accommodation; breakfast; bottle of champagne; chocolate-covered strawberries; and a proposal menu that offers a selection of proposal schemes. Options include the Top-of-the-World Proposal from a private capsule on the London Eye; the A-maze-ing Proposal set in the Hampton Court Labyrinth; and a James Bond-Style Proposal with a card game hosted by a private dealer.
