Punta Mita Properties Up Commission

Aug 01, 2006

Punta Mita Properties, the exclusive rental agent for the 1,500-acre master-planned resort and residential community just north of Puerto Vallarta, has made commissions even sweeter for travel agents. Those booking villa or condo rentals directly through Punta Mita Properties will receive a 15 percent commission up 5 percent from Punta Mita’s standard 10 percent. To be eligible, all stays must be booked and completed by Oct. 31.

“Punta Mita has quickly become one of today’s hottest travel destinations, and we owe quite a bit of the credit for that to our most loyal travel agent allies,” said Lynne Bairstow, marketing director for DINE, the destination’s developer.

“By offering this increased commission, we want to say thank you to our friends in the agent community,” Bairstow continued. “Hopefully, this will help put more money into their pockets heading into the holiday season.”

The special travel-agent incentive is available on bookings at Punta Mita’s new Las Terrazas Golf Villas, which debuted July 1. Surrounded by a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, Las Terrazas features expansive floor plans and upscale amenities. Each unit includes two master bedrooms and elegant furnishings.

Nightly high-season rates are from $900 for an ocean or golf view unit and $1,050 for an oceanview penthouse. To mark its grand opening, special introductory rates are from $600 per night through Nov. 30 (based on availability).

In addition to Las Terrazas, Punta Mita’s 15 percent agent commission also applies to bookings at the development’s other private oceanfront villas.

A St. Regis Resort & Residences is under construction and will open in early 2008. Punta Mita’s master plan calls for up to four luxury hotels, exclusive residential offerings and estate lots. Two championship golf courses, a tennis center, beach clubs, spa/wellness center, yacht pier and small commercial village will complete this privileged residential resort community.
