Last month, Singapore's tropical playground, Sentosa Island, welcomed the grand reopening of Rasa Sentosa Resort on Siloso Beach, now rebranded as Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort. The 454-room beachfront property recently underwent an extensive $62 million makeover designed to cater to families.
New family-friendly features include larger Family Room categories that allow parents to book a single room instead of two separate connecting rooms, as well as the debut of a new kids' club, Cool Zone. The complimentary club encompasses an expansive two-story facility offering children's meals and three different activity centers -- Toots Club, Craft Zone and Game Zone -- for guests ages 4 to 12 years old. It also features a three-story children's water slide. A separate children's pool is located on property near the main swimming pool area.
Because of its location on Sentosa Island, families also have easy access to various kid-friendly attractions including the Universal Studios Singapore theme park and The Flying Trapeze and Rock Wall, both located on Siloso Beach.
