Sunscape Casa del Mar La Romana, an AM Resorts property situated
on the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic, announced the
completion of its $20 million expansion project.
The multi-million-dollar expansion includes 188 new guestrooms
and suites, housed in two new buildings on the east side of the
resort. The new accommodations feature a king or two double beds, a
private and furnished private balcony or terrace, full marble
bathroom with vanity mirrors, cable television, a mini-bar stocked
with bottled water and soft drinks and a variety of other
amenities.
More additions include a new free-form swimming pool with
swim-up bar, additional beachfront Jacuzzis, a renovation of the
resort’s existing restaurants and the addition of two new a la
carte dining options. A new seafood restaurant, Oceana, will be
serving fresh-from-the-sea favorites and Crepes & Co. will
offer an assortment of French specialties.
An extension of the existing outdoor theatre and bar offers a
larger capacity to accommodate more guests looking to enjoy nightly
live entertainment and shows. And the theatre’s Showtime bar has
expanded its offerings to include a range of tropical cocktails and
mixes guests can enjoy during performances.
Additionally, the Sunscape Unlimited-Fun program offers the
all-inclusive experience providing families, couples and singles
with a choice of daytime and nighttime activities. Adults can
indulge in world-class treatments at the ecological spa, enjoy
weekly cocktail parties, nightly live entertainment or enjoy the
beaches, pools and Jacuzzis outdoors. Kids can take advantage of
the Explorer’s Club, which offers younger guests fully supervised
activities daily.
Sunscape Casa del Mar has also been honored with the Thomson
Gold Award for the exceptional quality of its facilities and
customer service. Awarded on a yearly basis, gold medal recipients
are determined by the results of guest questionnaires completed
