Villa Rentals in Mexico

May 08, 2013

Though Mexico offers an ever-evolving and increasingly luxurious resort scene, these popular and sometimes crowded properties are not the only way to experience an indulgent getaway in the country. Those seeking a more secluded vacation experience — from a romantic getaway to quality time spent with a small group of friends and family — should consider renting a private villa. Villas of Distinction offers luxury private villa rentals in more than 50 worldwide locations, including the popular Mexico vacation destinations of Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita and Riviera Maya.

Villas from the company’s collection range in size from one bedroom to more than seven bedrooms, and are available at a variety of price points, providing affordable options for a wide range of travelers. Examples of Villas of Distinction’s Mexico offerings include:

• Casa Todo Bien, a waterfront home in a secluded resort community in Punta Mita features five bedrooms, 6½ bathrooms, a pool and air conditioning. Guests will enjoy an indoor-outdoor floor plan with a tropical pond, a thatched-roof gazebo overlooking the sea and on-site house manager, chef, maid and gardener. Rates begin at $3,500 per night.

• At Casa del Agua in Riviera Maya, guests will stay at a private beachfront villa with four bedrooms and four bathrooms for prices starting at $1,300 per night. Features of the villa include an infinity pool, air-conditioning, a beachside location, ample outdoor lounge space, kayaks and snorkeling equipment and more.

• In Los Cabos, the contemporary oceanview Buenaventura offers five bedrooms and 5½ bathrooms, located in the exclusive gated community of Blue Sea. The patio and pool area include a heated infinity-edge pool and Jacuzzi, as well as a poolside palapa with an outdoor television, built-in barbeque and ample space for relaxation. Guests will also have private beach access just a short walk from the villa. Buenaventura starts at $1,700 per night.

• Located on the Bay of Banderas in Puerto Vallarta, Azul Celeste offers ocean vistas and a personal staff for a carefree getaway starting at $650 per night. With three bedrooms and 3½ baths, this recently refreshed villa sleeps up to six. The staff includes an English-speaking general manager, a housekeeper, a villa cook who will prepare up to two meals per day and a gardener. Amenities include 24-hour security, beach access, a private grill or barbeque, a home theater, laundry facilities, a poolside bar and more.

This is only a small sampling of Villas of Distinctions’ many options for a home-away-from-home holiday in Mexico, offering privacy, local experiences and more living space for travelers.
