Los Cabos Bonuses

Jun 01, 2009

During the recent Mexico Travel and Real Estate Tele-Symposium, Alejandro C. Yberri III, CEO of Costa Baja in La Paz and former CMO for Aeromexico observed that flights were arriving full into Los Cabos. This can partially be attributed to a cut in the number of flights to Los Cabos in the wake of the swine flu warning from the U.S. government (since lifted on May 15). But strong business for the resort destination can also be credited to its location at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, far from border violence. Instead of reveling in is relative good fortune, the Los Cabos Convention and Visitors Bureau is moving forward with programs targeted at both travel agents and consumers.

Full-time travel agents who complete the Los Cabos Expert e-learning program receive an airfare rebate when they sign up for one of the remaining Los Cabos fams in 2009. The rebate ranges from $200 to $300 based on city of origin. Qualifying agents can register for a fee of $149. The fee includes processing of enrollment, three nights at a five-star or Gran Turismo property, scheduled meals, transportation, site inspections and specialized tours. Remaining trips for 2009 are scheduled for Oct. 3-6, 17-20 and Nov. 7-10. Graduates of the program not only gain distinction as a Los Cabos expert, they are also in line to receive consumer leads via the official consumer Web site of the Los Cabos (www.visitloscabos.travel).

The Los Cabos Convention and Visitors Bureau has also launched the Los Cabos a la Carte promotion in which travelers can choose from a variety of vacation packages offered exclusively online at www.visitloscabos.travel. 'Los Cabos a la Carte' comprises free room nights, resort credits of up to $350 per day, complimentary room upgrades, dinners for two, discounts on spa treatments and free rounds of golf.
