Set to open Jan. 21, the Casa Dorada Los Cabos, Resort & Spa
is already a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Set on Playa
Medano, the resort will offer 186 deluxe oceanview rooms and

Rock.
The property will offer guests a variety of accommodations,
entertainment, dining and an on-site spa.
Casa Dorada’s five acres on the Sea of Cortez include
landscaping with courtyards and pools. Guestrooms, designed by
interior designer Adriana Hoyos, offer marble bathrooms with
whirlpool tubs and separate showers. All rooms have goosedown
comforters, plasma screen satellite TV, complimentary wireless
Internet, ceiling fans, multiple telephones, electronic safes and
kitchens or kitchenettes.
Penthouse suites range from 2,000 to 4,500 square feet and offer
multiple bedrooms, living spaces, kitchens and furnished terraces
or balconies. Amenities include cordless phones, several TVs,
ocean-facing Jacuzzis and walk-in closets. Resort chefs can also
prepare gourmet meals in the penthouse kitchens upon request.
Entertainment options include B lounge, offering 50 different
beers, including a custom mango-flavored brew. An air-conditioned
beachfront restaurant, private Beach Club and three swimming pools
are also available for those looking for on-site activities.
Guests can also visit the Casa Dorada Beach Club, offering day
beds, water sports and a spa cabana on Playa Medano.
Also available are a children’s club and pool, two winding pools
and a swim-up bar with TVs. To celebrate its opening, Casa Dorada
will offer several packages that incorporate the activities
available in Los Cabos, including boat trips to view migrating gray
whales.
Casual dining can be found at Maydan, serving buffet breakfast,
pizzas, ceviches and a catch of the day displayed in a fishing boat
on the beach. A more formal dining option is the hotel’s 12 Tribes
restaurant, inspired by the 12 Tribes of Israel. Executive chef
Fabian Rios offers cuisine inspired by Spain, Romania, Turkey,
France, Germany, Italy, Egypt, Hungary and Tunisia, accompanied by
an 80-label wine list, including 20 Mexican vintages.
The hotel’s 7,000-square-foot Saltwater Spa is inspired by the
East and the West and features offering such as a Chinese Balls
Stimulating massage, a saltwater ritual that guests receive with
each service and the Couleur de Vie, which combines color therapy,
aromatherapy and thalassotherapy.
