Alert the MediaAn upscale Southern California hotel is bound to host its share of celebrities, whether they are at play or at work. The oceanfront Hotel Casa del Mar in Santa Monica, Calif., is now making work even more luxurious for entertainment hotshots by wiring two floors of the eight-story property to accommodate press junkets.
Of the hotel’s 129 guestrooms and suites, there are two designated green rooms for studio executives and publicists to monitor interviews; two control rooms; and 10 wired rooms. The property also offers three two-story penthouse suites and a three-bedroom presidential suite.
“Our decision to wire the hotel was a natural progression,” said Klaus Mennekes, vice president and managing director of Edward Thomas Collection, which includes Hotel Casa del Mar. “Hotel Casa del Mar has been an entertainment industry favorite since opening in 1999. We provide guests with exceptional service and much-needed privacy, and are located on one of Southern California’s most beautiful beaches.”
