It’s now easier for American Airlines (AA) frequent flyers to get on the fast track to earning AAdvantage Gold, Platinum or Executive Platinum status thanks to AA’s Double Elite-Qualifying Miles promotion. Clients who fly AA, American Eagle and American Connection between Sept. 2 and Dec. 15 will earn twice the elite status qualifying miles. AAdvantage Gold status requires 25,000 elite-qualifying miles; Platinum status requires 50,000 miles; and Executive Platinum status requires 100,000 miles in a calendar year. Passengers can also earn special Elite Rewards benefits such as Admirals Club membership and/or access, upgrades and more. To qualify for the Double Elite-Qualifying Miles promotion, agents must book clients’ reservations using the promotion code DBLEQ. To participate in the Elite Rewards promotion, clients must register by Dec. 15 with the promotion code ELTRW.
