On May 12, Air Berlin launched its inaugural flight from Dusseldorf, Germany, to San Francisco, Calif. on an Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The new service will now be offered on Wednesdays and Fridays through Oct. 22.
“With the new long-haul service, Air Berlin is strengthening its network to the U.S. by offering passengers from San Francisco an exciting range of intra-European connections via its hub in Dusseldorf,” said Mats Jacobsson, vice president of international sales for Air Berlin. “San Francisco is a dynamic new addition to our existing U.S. service, and we are proud to be part of SFO’s growing network of European carriers.”
Through the fall season, flights are scheduled to depart San Francisco at 3:20 p.m. and arrive in Dusseldorf at 11:05 a.m. The return flight leaves Dusseldorf at 11:00 a.m., arriving at San Francisco International Airport at 1:20 p.m.
