U.S. airlines reported fewer flight delays in April and consumers
filed fewer complaints, according to the U.S. Department of
Transportation’s monthly Air Travel Consumer Report.
The 17 carriers in the report posted an 86.9 percent on-time
record, better than March’s 82.6 rate. Skywest Airlines had the
best on-time rate at 92.1 percent; Atlantic Southeast Airlines had
the lowest at 78.5.
Consumers filed 479 complaints with the department, 48.4 percent
fewer than the same time last year.
