Amawaterways christened its newest vessel, the 148-passenger ms Amalyra, in a colorful springtime ceremony in Vilshofen, Germany, on April 12 with Michelle Morgan, president of the Signature Travel Network, serving as the ship’s godmother.
The ship arrived in Vilshofen after completing an inaugural seven-night Romantic Danube itinerary from Budapest, and was met by cheering locals, a Bavarian folk band and assembled Amawaterways executives, local dignitaries and invited guests.
Another newbuild, the ms Amadolce, debuts in May, and the ms Amabella is on order for 2010.
