Following the success of its river cruises in the Peruvian Amazon, Aqua Expeditions will launch a third luxury vessel on the Mekong River in Cambodia and Vietnam in 2014.
The Aqua Mekong will have 20 suites decorated in contemporary Asian style, using local materials and fabrics. Each suite will also have floor-to-ceiling windows, enabling travelers to relax in bed and watch the scenery along the river as they float past. Onboard, there will be a spa, a fitness center, a dining room, a library, a screening room and an observation deck with a pool and a lounge bar.
Itineraries will run from Siem Riep down river into Vietnam, modeling the water safari experience that the Peruvian Aqua boats have perfected, with daily river and shore excursions off the boat in skiffs. www.aquaexpeditions.com
