Bellagio resort casino and spa in Las Vegas will soon start charging guests a resort fee. For many years, the luxury property, located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, was one of the few hotel casinos that did not charge its guests a daily resort fee. However, beginning in January, parent company MGM Resorts International announced that the resort would instate the fee in an effort to increase revenues. In the third quarter of this year, MGM Resorts generated an estimated $20 million in revenue from resort fees. Similar resort fees at other Las Vegas luxury resorts can cost as much as $25 per night.
