Changes Planned for Disneyland Resort

Nov 20, 2010
The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., is undergoing a number of changes and improvements in anticipation of a busy holiday travel season, including the unveiling of a completely renovated Disneyland Hotel and the addition of the brand-new Cars Land theme park area at Disney California Adventure theme park.

Through Dec. 1, clients can save up to $300 on a four-night Disneyland Resort Vacation package at any Disneyland Resort hotel for travel that takes place before Dec. 16. For clients interested in solely booking hotel accommodations, they can save up to 30 percent at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa; 25 percent at the Disneyland Hotel; or 20 percent at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel with a two-night minimum stay. Hotel-only savings apply to bookings made by Dec. 1 for travel through Dec. 16.

The Disneyland Hotel recently added a brand-new, 750-square-foot Fairy Tale Suite, fashioned with unique touches and influences from favorite Disney characters such as Tinker Bell and Sleeping Beauty. The new suite addition is part of the hotel’s extensive renovation and expansion project, which is expected to be completed in 2012.

The resort also recently celebrated the topping out of the new 12-acre Cars Land section of Disney California Adventure park, which is currently undergoing an extensive expansion project. Additional milestones of this expansion include the debut of the World of Color water show earlier this year; the unveiling of The Little Mermaid-Ariel’s Undersea Adventure in 2011; a refreshed Paradise Pier area; and the debut of Goofy’s Sky School.
