Alamo Rent A Car and the Walt Disney Co. have signed a marketing
agreement designating Alamo as the official rental car company of
the Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts.
Under the deal, Alamo replaces its sister company, National Car
Rental, as Disney’s official rental car partner, a distinction that
National had held for 22 years.
The shift followed a new brand strategy by ANC Rental Corp.,
parent of Alamo and National, which focuses Alamo on leisure
travelers and National on business travelers. National is
maintaining its previous relationship with Disney’s corporate
travel group.
As part of the agreement, Alamo also becomes the official
supplier of rental cars to the Walt Disney Travel Co. tour
operations.
