As part of Disneyland’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2005, the
Disney Magic will operate 12 seven-night cruises out of Los Angeles
from May 28 through Aug. 19 next summer.
The ship, one of two highly popular vessels operated by Disney
Cruise Line, will depart the Port of Los Angeles on Saturdays,
calling at Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan.
Disney plans to extend the celebration to all 10 theme parks,
opening new shows and attractions with the original Anaheim park
the center of the festivities. In fact, the most popular ride at
Disney’s California Adventure, Soarin’, will open at Epcot in
Orlando, giving visitors from the world over a bird’s-eye view of
hang gliding over California.
Bookings opened May 5 on the Magic’s Los Angeles departures.
Fares start at $1,399 per person with lower rates available for
the third and fourth passenger in a stateroom.
