As single-day admission prices to Disney’s four Florida theme parks
increased to $50, Walt Disney World set out to encourage travel
agents to purchase ticket packages in advance.
Last week, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts unveiled an
advance-purchase admission incentive for the Walt Disney World
Resort in Orlando. When booking a package in advance or
prepurchasing tickets, the resort said, clients can save up to $12
per person, per ticket, on multiday tickets at the gate.
Advance-purchase savings are available in packaged Walt Disney
World vacations available through the Walt Disney Travel Co., AAA
Vacations and other participating select Disney wholesalers.
Agents may also offer the savings to clients purchasing
commissionable multiday Disney tickets separately by calling the
Disney reservation center or ordering directly through GDSs, the
ARC or other participating Disney wholesalers.
For example, a four-day Park Hopper costs $192 in advance, $199
at the gate; a five-day Park Hopper costs $217 in advance and $229
at the gate.
Advance-purchase savings are available for all Disney Park
Hopper, Park Hopper Plus and Ultimate Park Hopper tickets.
