EasyCruise, the low-cost cruise enterprise that’s modeled after the
no-frills success of its sister company EasyJet, will work with
travel agents on a trial basis during its initial cruises next
spring.
The first six cruises will depart from Singapore, where
EasyCruise’s ship, the EasyCruise 1 (a former Renaissance Cruises
vessel), is undergoing renovations.
The EasyCruise 1 will reposition to Europe in April and will
spend the bulk of its time offering Mediterranean cruises to a
European customer base. But the company hinted that Singapore could
become the ship’s winter home.
