Holland America Line (HAL) has named Christine Morrell as social media director, a position newly created to head the company’s growing social media program. Morrell will head HAL’s social media platforms — including a blog, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and Twitter — and will support company-wide social media engagement.
“Christine brings a strong background in social media platforms and we look forward to tapping into her knowledge to take our social media efforts to the next level,” said Mary Beth Wressell, vice president of marketing communications, to whom Morrell now reports.
Most recently, Morrell headed social media strategy as senior manager of social media at Clearwire.
