Carolyn Harber has joined Redondo Beach’s The Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club as director of sales and marketing. Most recently, Harber served as independent sales and marketing consultant for Palisades Development Group in Santa Monica, providing marketing consultation services during construction, pre-opening and opening phases of Palisades’ two new hotels in the Los Angeles area, Custom Hotel and Palihouse Holloway.
Prior to working with Palisades Development Group, Harber held management positions at BrandCulture Company, Kor Hotel Group’s Viceroy Santa Monica and Mondrian Hotel. However, her career began in San Francisco, where she worked for some of the leading luxury and historic hotels in the area including The Westin St. Francis, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ Palace Hotel.
