Globus Announces Promotions
The Globus family of brands has expanded. With new family
vacations, additional religious itineraries, the upcoming Monograms
pre- and post- cruise packages, new tours and river cruises, Globus
has shifted into high gear for 2006.
As part of this effort to maintain the quality of products and
services, Globus announced four recent promotions in the company’s
senior management team.

Scott Nisbet will assume the role of senior vice president and
chief operating officer. Douglas Duncan will become vice president
of sales. Steve Born will take on the role of vice president of
marketing and Pam Hoffee is now vice president of product and
operations.
“Each of these individuals brings years of experience and
valuable insight into creating and sustaining our products,” said
Philip Gordon, president and CEO of the Globus family of
brands.
Scott Nisbet’s new role will entail providing support to the
sales, marketing, customer care, product and operations and
technology departments.
Nisbet has been with Globus for more than seven years. Under his
leadership, the company has redoubled efforts to build
relationships with travel agencies, as well as expanded its product
lines to include independent travel, family vacations and religious
pilgrimages.

As newly appointed vice president of marketing, Steve Born’s
duties will include managing the customer care department, in
addition to his previous position in the marketing department.
During the past five years, Born has led a staff of 13,
overseeing all facets of marketing, including strategic planning,
travel agent support, consumer acquisition, loyalty, online and
partnerships.

Douglas Duncan will continue to support his current team and
oversee the Canadian sales operation as part of his
advancement.
Duncan originally joined the company five years ago in the role
of director of sales and has worked to strengthen ties with the
travel agent community.
Hoffee’s past two years of work with Globus will continue in her
recently acquired promotion. She has led the team that develops the
North America and exotics products for the Globus, Cosmos and
Monograms brands.
She will continue to lead this product development team, support
key air and tour operations directors and assist with inventory and
documentation in her new role.
Globus aims to follow several years of successfully developing
and marketing an expanded range of brands and products with these
organizational changes.
“Looking at 2006, we are confident in what the Globus family of
brands has to offer agents and their clients,” said Gordon. “The
company hopes the promotions of Nisbet, Duncan and Hoffee will
allow and support continued growth into the future.”
