
Signature Names Harbison New VP
Signature Destinations Club has appointed Ray
Harbison as vice president of hospitality and membership
operations. He will be responsible for developing the
infrastructure, systems and personnel to provide club members with
the “Signature Experience” of hassle-free residential travel.
Formerly the vice president of Abercrombie & Kent, Harbison
has more than 15 years of experience in the travel and hospitality
industry. He has managed hospitality and travel operations in Cabo
San Lucas, Seattle, Thailand and Hong Kong.

Davaz Moves to Simpson House
Nicholas D. Davaz will move to Simpson House Inn
in Santa Barbara, Calif., as managing partner of the historic
estate. Davaz, an experienced hotel professional, was most recently
the general manager of El Encanto Hotel & Garden Villas in
Santa Barbara. He has also served as resort manager for the Bacara
Resort & Spa where he oversaw the resort’s food and beverage
division.

Clapoff Named GM at Halekulani
The Halekulani Corporation, owners of the Halekulani and Waikiki
Par Hotel on Oahu has appointed Janis Clapoff to
serve as general manager of Halekulani. As of Aug. 1, Clapoff will
be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day management and
operations of the 455-room property.
Clapoff, one of the industry’s first-ever female general
managers, has nearly three decades of experience. Most recently,
she held the position of managing partner at the Simpson House Inn
in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Denton Confirmed at PRTC
Terestella Gonzalez Denton has been officially
confirmed as the executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism
Company. As the apointee of Governor Anibal Acevedo Vila since
January, Terestella has made new plans for Puerto Rico Tourism. Now
