Island Destinations Turks and Caicos Fam

Jul 17, 2012
Island Destinations recently invited its top producers to attend a fam trip in Turks and Caicos. Seven travel agents from across the U.S. were selected to attend. During the fam, travel agents visited a number of top resorts in the area including Grace Bay Club, Gansevoort Hotel, Regency Palms and Amanyara. Laurie Palumbo, the chief operating officer of Island Destinations, joined the fam, which included many visits with sales reps and property executives.

According to Donna Wolfe, a travel agent and fam participant from Encino, Calif.’s Plaza Travel, the standout spa of the trip was at the Regency Palms, where travel agents indulged in an afternoon of up to five distinct spa treatments.

Wolfe’s all-around favorite spot was Amanyara, where travel agents stayed in the Oceanfront Villas, which feature four private pavilions, two butlers, a private chef, an infinity pool, a living room and dining area pavilion and direct private beach access.

“This was truly a ‘wow’ factor,” said Wolfe. “Every hour, our butlers would bring refreshing mint drinks and cold towels down to the beach, and they would also drive us around the property in golf carts whenever we desired.”

Wolfe, who has attended other fams hosted by the wholesaler, recommends Island Destinations.

“No other wholesaler that I have experienced plans and organizes such extravagant fams as Island Destinations,” said Wolfe.
